Gillian Chung Is the HK Spokesperson of Adidas

Earlier, Gillian Chung has been chosen by the sports brand, Adidas, as the strongest and most persistent artiste. Sources say that besides Gillian, famous soccer athletes David Beckham and Lionel Messi have also been chosen. Being the only Hong Kong artiste being chosen, it is because Gillian contains athletic spirit within her, and she has once received 2nd place in the city-wide hurdles competition during her academic years.

A few days ago, Gillian had been filming ads for the Adidas website, to promote the athletic spirits of never giving up. Hong Kong soccer athlete, Lee Kin Wo, was also present at the time. Being very busy day to day with work, Gillian still became very energetic after putting on her sports outfit. Besides needing to head butt soccer balls, she also had to draw pictures on the wall.

Being the only HK artiste chosen, Gillian expressed, "They explained that it's because although I am a singer and an actress, I still have my athletic spirits with me. From grade 7, I have already participated in track and field events. The practice went on for 5 years. It was my sixth year that I got the chance to enter in the city-wide competition, and I received 2nd place. The process of practicing was very laborious. However, I did not give up. To do my best, I practice whenever I have time, whether it be afterschool, lunch, or recess." Gillian's story is very encouraging; from when she was disqualified to when she received 2nd place in the city-wide hurdles competition, the people around have learned to see her in a different way. She said, "My first time in a competition, I was an alternative. Because I received the baton outside of the take-over zone, my whole team was disqualified. Thus, massive pressure remained with me throughout all the competitions following that one."
