Gigi Lai Resumes Filming "Jewel's Splendor" Due to her brother's earlier traffic accident, Gigi Lai Chi requested a filming break from "Jewel's Splendor" since May. Due to Gigi's inability to film, the series' production schedule was impacted. After several months of care at the hospital, Gigi's brother, Lai Ying's condition was taking a positive turn. Relieved at her brother's recovery, Gigi finally returned to film "Jewel's Splendor." Gigi started filming at 6 AM in the morning for several outdoor scenes. At 5 PM, she returned to the studio to film indoor scenes. Accompanied by an assistant carrying an umbrella, Gigi was spotted in a T-shirt, jeans, and sandals. She did not stop to pose for photographs. When the press asked whether the filming gap affected her, Gigi responded, "It's okay! I have been acting for so many years. The filming break did not affect me. I treat it as a long vacation." Then she quickly left. Will Gigi be busily filming the next 24 hours to make up for lost time? "I'm not sure; I have not received the filming schedule yet. If there is a need, I will film. Otherwise, I will rest." Did Gigi request fixed rest periods? "Can you make such requests? How did Gigi feel and did she have anything to say to her co-workers in "Jewel's Splendor?" Gigi said, "I have spoken to them earlier when I returned to TVB and in the trip to Guangzhou." Was Gigi pressured to return to film "Jewel's Splendor" since no further delays were possible? Before Gigi could respond, she was pulled away by a crew member. i'm happy to see that she's back to acting which means her brother is doing somewhat better..i hope he recovers soon so that her and her family will not have to go through all the worrying.
