After the critically and commercially successful audiophile album Lamusique last year, George Lam has come up with the second installment titled Lamusique Vintage, which features a new selection of updated pop classics. The Canto-pop veteran again teams up with renowned producer Andrew Tuason and Hi-Fi guru Ernest Lau on the project, and together they've injected a bigger variety of musical elements into it compared to the previous go. This time, the album was recorded at Hins Cheung's new studio in Guangzhou with numerous top musicians brought in from Malaysia to provide authentic instrument accompaniment. It's a treat hearing how Lam lends his magnificent, mellow voice to the vintage pop numbers (mostly from his own repertoire), and the re-arrangements promise a rather different and unique sound, like on the first plug "Ah Lam Diary" featuring Jessie Huo's erhu solo.
