The actor toured Europe with his young wife for their anniversary, but did not pay his ex-wife and son a visit when he returned to Hong Kong Hong Kong actor Gallen Lo shot to fame with TVB drama Secret of the Heart and At the Threshold of an Era. In 2008, he divorced Fong Man-yee, his wife of 28 years and became secretly engaged to Beijing actress Su Yan the following year. Then, he had asked good friend Anita Yuen to give them her blessings. Gallen also publicly complimented his new wife for being classy, without considering his ex-wife and child's feelings. Recently, the 49-year-old actor flew to Europe with Su Yan on the day of their second anniversary to spend some quality time together. The actor even posted a mushy message on his microblog: "Su Yan, I cannot live without you." Gallen later returned to Hong Kong after the trip, but did not visit his son and ex-wife. Instead, the actor was spotted roaming the streets alone, or hanging out with friends. Su Yan reportedly did not want Gallen to keep much contact with Man-yee and their son. The actor agreed to her request because he is not close to his son and he did not have a good relationship with Man-yee. Gallen met Su Yan in 2007, when the two worked together on the drama Perfect Ending, in which they portrayed a married couple. The pair hit it off immediately and became friends. In 2008, the actor filed for a divorce with Man-yee, whom he married out of responsibility. As divorce settlement, Gallen gave Man-yee their apartment -- which they were still paying for -- and more than a million Hong Kong dollars in cash. Well .. hard to say. Not to defend Gallen or anything, but, "not close to his son" .. wonder if the mom is putting toxic ideas / words on the son. And the son is toxic and evil against him.

He's a parent, he has a responsibility towards his child. Using "not close" as an excuse is inexcusable.
