it died because it was in shallow waters. remember its supposed to live in 600 meter depths. it probably came up because it was sick, and the shallow water weakened it even more. the fisherman probably was too much for it.
if its fake, how is it its in every major newspaper? i cant speak for everywhere, but its in all the major newspapers in toronto. youre from tdot you should know they dont put "fake" things in news. they either put real things, or reinterpreted things based on real things

hahah..i saw this title n thought the thread owner was saying the frilled shark was amazing as in a dish to eat....haha...to add..below the oceans there are many other animals that we still dont know about...
