    Paragon Partition Manager 7.0.1274. Not free though...torrent it?

    Partition Magic is not free but a very popular one. It depends on when you are partitioning your drives. If you are doing it on a fresh hard drive with no data on it, there are plenty of boot partition software (check out http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/). If you are trying to partition within Windows OS, then you need one of the software mentioned above and they are not free. I don't know of any free ones.

    There isn't really any freeware for partitioning.

    you can use the xp install cd to do the partioning if you really wanted. if not i'd recommend torrenting partition magic

    best thing to do find the best one and torrent it... you should be fine if you do it that way

    there are plenty of free partition software, pretty much every HDD manufacturer has free software support through their website. i believe Western Digital uses Data Life Guard, Maxtor and Seagate uses Max Blast.

    the only thing bad about PM is that it will require PM again if you want to change the partitions
