Wednesday July 2, 2008 Hong Kong Hong Kong actress Anne Heung, the top Miss Hong Kong in 1998, has quit her career in the entertainment circle and became an office lady in Shanghai. China News Service reported on Tuesday that Heung said she still cannot adapt to the life of an entertainer after ten years, which was presumed to be the main reason for her choice. Although enjoying the processes of TV making, Heung said there was no privacy and little time to communicate with her family and friends. Besides, she also wishes more time to find her Mr. Right and become a happy mother someday. Heung began her study of law two years ago. She said she will go on with her study when everything is settled in Shanghai. Aww, I liked some of her earlier stuff. Not so much of a fan of the newer dramas she was in. I liked her in Yang Gui Fei. But I hear conflicting opinions for that one. She made a really good evil character, even if I didn't want to watch her playing those roles (ie Love is Beautiful - 无头东宫). I will miss her, truly.

She has been in the entertainment industry for so long... it will take some time for her to adjust to an office environment. Hopefully she will find what she is looking for outside of the entertainment industry.

Im sure she left the entertainment circle a while back nw, shes never been that good of an actress and she wasnt getting any good roles, if she didnt leave she prob. would have been pushed out anyway.

I like her, even though she acts evil, she also finds a way to make us(or at least me) feel sympathy for her character too. Besides, she's only acting evil, not really one in real life. Reading about her, I find her to be a compassionate and down-to-earth kind of girl. I wish her the best.
i remember the first tvb serie anne starred in was DIF 4...not everyone is used to the entertainment lifestyles...good luck to her
I love her, so i'm quite sad to see her leave tvb since i won't be seeing her in shows anymore. However, I think her decision was quite wise and noble. Wise because if she were to find mr. right while in tvb, there will probably be a lot of gossip, and noble because she is continuing her law studies, and no doubt help those of the chinese community, especially since she is the president of the wai yin association. Best wishes, she is truely a great role model for all women.
