"I wanted to protect my daughter" Li Ya Peng accepted an interview after the incident. He said in politeness "Please wait for a moment,let my mother and children leave before i talk." He later explained that the conflict was caused because he wanted to protect his daughter. He said "Did you see how that reporter used his camera to take photographs of Li Yan just now? Have you seen it?! His camera is just on top of my daughter's FACE!" He heaved a sigh and continued "Its okay to photograph me,but,not my daughters. Li Ya Peng said "That day,i have talked to you patiently after you have photographed my family at the hotel. But why do i have to hit you today?! Because my daugher has been frightened by you. Your camera was at the top of her head,it made her very scared." The male reporter said "You can voice out if you are unhappy with me,you are wrong to assualt me." The male reporter also requested Li Ya Peng to apologize in public and compensate the video camera that he had broke while beating up the female reporter. Li Ya Peng said "Thats pretty funny.. You haressed me,and asked me to apologize?! Its you who should say sorry." The police expressed that the whole process has been recorded for evidence. Li Ya Peng requested to use the video taken by the CCTV camera at the airport. Li Ya Peng's manager responded "I am not present at the scene yesterday. having a cleft lip is an unfortunate condition, but atleast there are fairly good surgical procedures today to correct the problem. The reporters were soooo wrong, they had already been warned not to take pics of his daughter yet they did it anyway, and teasing him to get him to lash out, so it was the reporters fault anyway. As for the female reporter, picking up the camera and carried on taking pics of his daughter - she deserved to be hit, how would she like it if it was her daughter that was scared?! I knw they are public figures but there is a line that shdnt be crossed and these reporters crossed it tooo far.
