Fala Chen Wants to do a Tampon Ad

Fala Chen, Mandy Cho, Niki Chow and Angela Tong attended the press event for the "TVB Most Popular Advertisements Awards 2007" and Fala hopes to have more chances to make money in ads and does not mind doing tampon ads. Asked if her rumoured boyfriend Neway heir will ask her to do their ads, she says: "No, but if the company approves, then she will still do it for the standard fee with no discount!"

Mandy wore a 3 carat diamond ring, which was very eye-catching and asked if it was a gift from her boyfriend, she immediately avoided talking about her relationship. Angela has been busy filming for "Cold Encounters of the Third Kind" recently, so she has been suffering from lack of sleep and refers to herself as 'Panda Angela'. She will also have to start rehearsing a dance to take part in a competition and she says: "I have asked the choreographer to find me someone handsome to partner me, that makes dance more interesting."

(i'm not sure if Neway is a tampon brand or not); if it is a tampon brand, i don't think she meant there's something wrong with tampon ads. it's just that that's the guy he's seeing?

I dunno, but they make it seem like it's something to be embarrassed about doing ads for personal products.

You guys don't realize how much and how changed HONG KONG and the asian society has been. You want everyone to have tramp stamps and skanks like in the USA? Not me !

Asian figures and society have lost their prestige somewhat !! It saddens many how the generation have no sense of shame or reflection. Doing a TAMPOON ad has NOTHING to do with it being a pad or tampoon, rather the content is a sensitive issue of the MAJORITY of traditionalists. Who would want their daughter endorsing such products? Topics such as sex are not really discussed in Asian cultures if you know what I mean. Girls should be clothed well and not reveal themselves for fear of getting taken advantage. you dont see remorse or regret in US society, but in asia, china, Hk, stuff like yumiko incident, gillian are mega reality checks for you people.

    Generation gap people.

There's not need to promote certain products..

Well, what does doing an ad for personal stuff have to do about anyone being a skank/tramp. Making people aware of hygienic/personal stuff doesn't fit anyone into that category. Advertising stuff for safe sex doesn't make placed them in that category as well. It's more of making people aware of what is out there (I'm sure people would know what I mean so I don't have to make this really long by going into details). I'm not going to bring tradition into this because then this would have to be in the philosophy section.

It's something that's kept behind doors. I'ts not like they advertise how to have sex, nor do they advertise you to shave your pits, or whatever.

hygene is a choice and there's a degree.

    some stuff is kept behind.
