Fala Chen (陳法拉), who temporarily bid everyone farewell from the entertainment industry in 2014, has officially graduated with her Master’s Degree from The Juilliard School! Upon the end of her TVB management contract in late 2014, the Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊> actress left Hong Kong for New York to pursue her Master of Fine Arts in Drama (MFA) at The Juilliard School. The competitive program accepts only about 10 students a year, and is a four-year-long curriculum. On May 18, Fala shared on social media that she has graduated from the program. She shared a picture she took with her eight other classmates, writing, “We MFA’s!” Fala also shared pictures she took around the campus, including one that is of her walking on stage to retrieve her diploma. Fala wrote on Instagram, “I don’t know how 4 years has flown by so quickly, but here I am, graduating from [The Juilliard School] with my #group47 classmates! I could not have done this alone. Thank you to my family and friends who have encouraged me, to my teachers who have given me knowledge and inspiration to be a better artist, to my team and clients back in Hong Kong & China supporting me from afar. And to ALL OF YOU who have been following my journey. I am a very lucky person to have all of you in my life.” Congratulations to Fala on opening a new chapter in your life!
Very nice and congrats! Let's see how she takes what she learns and applies it to the big screen..Would be cool to see her in Hollywood movies.
Kudos to Fala, for rising to the top of her craft in such a superb fashion. This of course, is in direct contrast to another TVB starlet several years ago, who tried to fake a degree from some diploma mill and got caught at it. Much luck to Fala. I hope to see her in Hollywood soon
