Personally I never thought that going after spammers worked. They are, in essence, only acting as the middle man in these affairs, shilling for product manufacturers or websites. My thought has always been that if the maker of a product invaded my privacy and sent me shit advertising (via a mouthpiece or middleman), then the seller of that product should be held accountable. After all, they hired the advertising mechanism. IMHO, If you start suing the Makers of Viagra, you'll soon stop seeing such ads appear in your mailbox.
