ORLANDO, Fla. -- A mother videotaped at an Orlando car wash blasting her 2-year-old daughter with a high-pressure hose was charged with child abuse Friday. Niurka Ramirez, who is pregnant, turned herself in to police Thursday afternoon after seeing extensive media coverage concerning the incident, which took place at the Magical Carwash, located at 11105 Bloomfield Drive in Orlando. Deputies said they believe criminal charges are appropriate. "We feel comfortable with our case at this point," Orange County sheriff's Cmdr. Matt Irwin said. "And, certainly we wouldn't have arrested her or charge her with anything if we didn't. Truthfully, the reason why we've taken so much time is to try to confirm and corroborate what the videotape seems to show." Ramirez claimed she sprayed the girl to calm the child's temper tantrum, Orange County sheriff's deputies said. "She indicated to the detective that the child had a temper tantrum and she used the pressure washer to punish the child -- or in her words -- to calm the child down," Orange County sheriff's Sgt. John Allen said. Detectives spent Friday at the car wash trying to determine if Ramirez used a high or low setting to spray the girl before her arrest. There are other ways to punish your child, and that child is just 2years old...... And being pregant doesn't mean that you can harm your child like that.... I dont think that being fined is a good solution, being lectured how to raise a child properly is better-_-2

Not defending what the mom did, but kids are lil bitches these days. If you don't punish them, they just don't fucking learn. Maybe that kid has been screaming, crying and hitting them while they are trying to drive home? Maybe that kid has been doing that for hours and hours? When exposed to irritating situation, plus she was pregnant, you just lose it. But, that was indeed abuse. When she put the hose that near to the kid's face, you could see the hair flying straight from the high pressure.
Some kids can be brats, but there are humane ways of teaching the child. This is definitely not one of them. No child deserves this.
