I've recently downloaded a .rar file and I can't seem to extract it using Winrar as the files are in chinese.
I was wondering if there was a way around this??

    Thanks in advanced

u mean the filename is in chinese, just change the name of the filename to english and it should extract.

what is in chinese? the files themselves or is nothing showing up? a little more help would help...u can also set your localzation setting for your computer to say Hong Kong or something so it will set the unicode to chinese default.

Are the files corrupt? Is that what you're saying?

you shouldnt have a problem. i extrat alot of chinese rar files with chinese contents with no problems. most likely its corrupted.

dunno how chinese text affect this...but yea check if the file is corrupt i.e. you didn't finish the download completely and the file messed up...you can also check "keep broken files" if you dled a movie, and it can extract the file, but if it's corrupted then it wouldn't play properly anyways.

ye nas and then lot make a gd point, it could be a corrupted file if it doesn't extract and the filename of the rar is in english as it doesn't matter if the compressed files are in chinese, they will still extract, just sometimes the names get turned into gobedy goop.

Is there any chinese version of rar ? I use the english version because I don't know chinese :p anyway about the rar problem believe me that I don't get your point. I'm not a expert but would you please give us a screenshot of regarding this problem ? If you talk about menu thing. When you install winrar , its auto appears in right click menu.
