sucks to be you guys. Many Canadian universities gets it for free. I got Win7 Pro through MSNDAA free.
only for students studying in computer science and engineering though. for the people who aren't they don't get it, right? info from the site's FAQs:
i saw "NULL" on one of the departments next to my school from the MSDNAA site...wths that mean? -______-''
i am sure a copy will be up for download somewhere .. lol .. you can also get it from work by asking the it people ..
Windows 7 is a def. upgrade, but my friends told me that you must have at least 4 gb of ram to run it smoothly.
keep in mind vista takes 2 gb to run smoothly, and since 7 is a lot more efficient than vista, it should be fine with 2 gb. keep in mind it can run on a 1gb no problem. so 4gb is more than enough
$30 dam.. too bad I don't have a college email or whatever to get it O wel.. got it for free from my friend that had MSDNAA -^_^ Windows 7 will run fine on 1gb ram, but 2gb would most likely be recommended, but it would depend on what version of Windows 7 you get anyways. Windows 7 Starter.. runs on 1gb RAM which is made for netbook I'm wondering.. what version is this? Home Premium?
i just realized there was two version .. a full win 7 and an upgrade win 7 for vista .. now .. which to get?
what do you mean there are two versions, from what i know there is only the "upgrade" for $40 USD for Canadian institutes and $30 for USA insititues; people have to understand that the FULL version will allow the user to do a "clean" or "upgrade" install whereas the UPGRADE is only for "upgrade" if you are eligible...
