I think this is humanitarian but sets up the continent for continued immigration abuses. By setting the table, so to speak, how can they NOT expect people to show up? I think it telling too, that though Russia is much closer to Syria, these refugees would choose to go to Germany, more than three times as far. "This is one of the greatest litmus tests that Europe has ever faced," said German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Really? Then good thing the Russians didn't invade. What about NATO, the famed defender of Europe; why doesn't the alliance call out troops to handle this sudden massive influx of people? http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34634214
It's a shame for every country who has said yes to accept them and then worrying now because "there are too many migrants". When I see those migrants in the streets, even if I know it is better for them to be here than in their country, I feel very sorry for them. Yesterday I saw a family with 3 young children living near trash and with very dirty clothes. I don't understand why we can accept to help them before knowing HOW to help.
