Ella Koon And Sammul Chan Are Good Friends

Cast members from TVB new series Survivor's Law II <律政新人王II> including Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Sammul Chan (陳鍵鋒), Ella Koon (官恩娜) and Selena Li (李詩韻) took part in a mini-karting promotional event today in Sai Kung.

With a reputation for poor timekeeping, Ella arrived ten minutes late for the event and quickly apologised to the producer and the waiting press, explaining that she had lent her car to a friend and she had to wait for it to be returned. When the reporters laughed that she has an excuse for everything, she was left speechless and just forced a pouty smile.

Sammul and Ella have been rumoured to have fallen out with each other in the past, but they seemed very friendly with each other at the event. Sammul explained that the reports were a form of promotional stunt and quite pointless. He said that he found Ella's direct personality made her a great co-star and colleague to work with. Ella supported this, saying that the reports were all made up.

Neither Ella nor Kenneth were particularly worried about the ratings for the show, laughing that they had an excuse if it does not do well because of it airing during the Christmas festive season. Kenneth pointed out that he has no burden because there will be some effect from the holidays. Ella laughed that she was pleased that her character is receiving support from young fans despite being quite a nasty person.

Having just returned from filming in the mainland, Sammul told of how he was nearly arrested for using counterfeit money. He explained that he did not know about this when he paid the taxi driver and there was some confusion when the driver refused to accept the RMB50 note. Only when the police arrived did he realise that the note was a fake. Fortunately, the police allowed him to settle with the taxi driver privately. Sammul said that he will be keeping the note as a reference for the future, so he knows what to look out for.
