Saturday October 27, 2007 Hong Kong Cast members from TVB series The Ultimate Crime Fighter <通天幹探> including Moses Chan (陳豪) and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) took part in the annual Race to Feed event in aid of Heifer International - Hong Kong <香港小母牛競步善行賽> today, held at Victoria Park. In the multi-legged race, where teams of ten people have their legs tied together to race, the TVB team were paired against a team of Hong Kong's top models, including Qiqi (琦琦), Lisa S and Amanda Strang. Finally, it was the TVB team that won their race. Moses arrived late at the event, but fortunately he was in time to race. He said that the win was thanks to his fellow team members and also because the other team were more reserved. Asked about more setbacks in the filming of his current series The Gem Of Life with news that co-star Ada Choi (蔡少芬) has had surgery for problems with her voicebox, Moses said graciously that they have been able to rearrange their schedules. He said that when Ada ruptured her larynx, he was present and he had already warned her not to carry on filming with her severe sore throat to avoid any further injury. He added that there are often accidents during filming and this is unavoidable, but the most important thing is that everyone is safe. Heifer International works to raise money to assist farming projects in poor regions of China to maintain sustainability and increase productivity. The chairman of the charity Mr Anthony Leung (梁錦松) also attended with his wife, Olympic diving star, Fu Mingxia (伏明霞). Fu said that she would be joining the workers on a visit to Qinghai and she hopes to take her daughter with her when she is a little older so she can understand how fortunate she is. As for the recent debates about the Olympics becoming too political, she said that as an athlete, then they only go to compete and do not get involved in other matters, so things should be viewed more simplistically. credits: batgwa.
