Wednesday June 18, 2008 Hong Kong Elanne Kong’s entertainment career is at another level and she now has many opportunities, as well as being well recognised. All the success was due to her determination and hard work. But she had also been an instant target for the paparazzi. Yesterday a gossip magazine stated that Elanne had been involved in an affair with her manager in her management company. But the company immediately denied these rumours. Elanne felt helpless as she didn’t know why they were targeting her with these reports. Yesterday the article stated that Elanne’s manager (Lam Siu Ming) who was the person that helped her become an artist had problems in his marriage. It claimed that Elanne Kong was the reason behind it. Lau Siu Ming replies “She is one of my company’s artists. If she works hard and gives good results, then its natural for her to have many opportunities. Earlier I had helped cast Rain Li in a movie. Does that mean I am involved in something with Rain too? ( But aren’t you having problems in your marriage?) “It’s a personal matter and won’t comment on this”. Elanne states “I think the article from (Face) magazine reporting untrue reports is very unfair to my colleagues. Previously I was able to take negative news about myself with a pinch of salt and just laugh about it but this time I feel I need to respond to it. During these 3 years, I had been working very hard with my colleagues. Even if my company was casting a movie I would still need to audition for the casting. I am hoping to buy an apartment for my mother and that will depend on working hard. I just don’t understand why there are these rumours or reports. I really don’t want to affect others and I feel this report had ruined my colleagues hard work. It makes it sound like they have not done anything and no credits. I am very unhappy”. During these 3 years Elanne had been working hard with one of her company’s bosses Kelly. She stated that this report had made all her colleagues very unhappy. They had all worked very hard with Elanne, that’s why she is so successful today. Kelly also explains that she sacrificed her own daughter to help build Elanne’s career.
