Monday October 22, 2007 Hong Kong Eason Chan (陳奕迅) will begin his run of concerts next Wednesday, so preparations are heating up as tickets were sold out very early on. Eason revealed that there will be a lot of different dances performed at his show, including ballroom dancing and ballet. At rehearsals yesterday, Eason announced that he has received help from Ms Jean Wong (王仁曼), director of the Jean M. Wong school of ballet. Jean not only choreographed a grand ballet routine for Eason, but has also provided 20 of her top students to accompany him in the dance. She has also taken a lot of care in teaching Eason the basics of ballet. She said that he does not have the foundations, but he is very intelligent and a feel for the music, so he learned very quickly. Eason was very thankful to Jean and said that at first he was quite clumsy, but his teacher taught him well and he picked it up very quickly. He said that usually people look very elegant when they do ballet and it was only after taking some lessons that he realised how difficult it actually is and he felt that it was a character building experience. Eason also revealed that he had to soak his toes after rehearsals every night to ease the fatigue. Asked if he will be wearing tights, he smiled that if there is a need, then he will wear one. He said that although he has quite thick calves, he will make it look graceful with his dancing. credits: batgwa.
