The max compression I would set it to would be 80%.

so if u set it to 80% compression, then when viewing u won't see much difference between the original right.

If there are scenes in the video with fast movement or lots of action, you may notice some pixellated images but not alot like say SVCD.
Video should still retain DVD quality at 80% compression.

you can try to remove a lot of the extras and extra languages that you won't use and then u won't have to go to 80% compression on the video. the auto settings with dvd shrink work really well

i see, but i wasn't rele talking about ripping dvds, just more like creating a dvd with more tvb episodes lol.

dvd shrink is probably not the software to use if you are talking about burning lots of episodes onto 1 disc.

DVD Shrink is helpful in compressing more episodes to fit onto a single layer DVD.

how much compression doesn't really mean much. u still have to see what discs u buy. If its 9gb dual layer, u can burn a heck more than say taking a dual layer and shrinking it to fit 4.3 standard dvd single layer.

ideally if u want to keep the entire disc content, just shrink enough to fit it.

I've dl'd 2 DVD iso files of Men Don't Cry series. It was 10 eps per disc and I must say the video was VCD quality or worse. It was watchable but compressed way too much.

It's better to play with the settings in WinAvi rather than relying totally on DVD Shrink to fit more episodes onto a disc.

oh ok, ye i guess the rmvb files, some of the colours are a bit weird/noisy sometimes and with dvdshrink that could make it worse. then again vcd quality isn't too bad.
