ok I downloaded 6 episodes of TaiChi and want to burn it so i can play it on my DVD player...i followed the guide showed above. I converted 6 episodes so I have 6 folders (DVD01-1), (DVD-2-1), etc.

Then i used DVD shrink as told, but i cant seem to put more than one file in. Everytime I open one file after another, the new one will replace the old one.

If it helps, I run on WinAVI 8.0 and DVD Shrink 3.1

Use a DVD authoring program before using DVD Shrink. I use TMPGenc DVD Author.

You can create a Title menu, Root menu, add chapters to episodes etc...DVD Shrink is basically a burning tool, not a DVD creator.

ok i just downloaded TMPGenc, and tried to make a new project, the output are all on mpeg? is this right?

cuz on that program you just recommended I just made a bg pic, audio, root menu and added three episodes to the project...then i just burn it and it should play on my DVD player right?

i know what u mean.... once u open 1 file dvd shrink, u need to go on 'Re-Author' tab next to 'Full disc'.
In Re-Author. Drag the file from the right to the left under DVD... do this for all 6 files. Analysis it to get better quality then backup.

Next time if u convert using WinAvi, convert the 6 in one go, and select the output mode to 'One DVD, Separate Titles'

Try ConvetXtoDVD if you still have problem. You could download this program with key in www.mininova.org. Testing this program to see if it is better and easy to use then Super DVD Creator.

You could also use Nero to create menu.

For me I use WinAVI to convert rmvb to DVD then use Super DVD Creator to creat menu for 5 episodes (more if .vol is small) then use Roxio to burn the DVD.

I encode each eps separately with batch convert with winavi. In winavi settings, I select lowest quality to ensure I can fit at least 6 eps on a 4.7gb dvd (video quality is still alright).

If you're stumped with using TMPGenc here's a link to instructions :

ye but tmpgenc is just too slow for my liking and especially if someone is going to convert 6 episodes its much better on winavi as it won't take as long.

    thanks for all your help

but last questions...ok now i successfully made my DVD, and watched it, but each time i finish watching one episode, it goes back to the main menu...anyway i can edit it so that when i finish watching on episode it goes straight to the next episode

ye u just edit it, though thats not rele a big problem. glad u've finally been able to do it. does dvdshrink lower the quality of the video further or does it keep the quality pretty much the same?

the quality is the same, cuz i kepy 5 episodes in one DVD, i might experiment around to see if i can put mor ethan 5 episodes in one, but do you edit the chapter to chapter playing in WinAVI

    The_Jelly NSFW? :P

You can generally do up to 10. Anymore and the quality will be garbage.

well, i dont use double layer DVDs, and 5 episodes is almost 4.7 gb, wont 10 episodes be too much? i mean DVD shrink can make it 4.7 gb, but wont the quality be bad, and frames will be skipping from frame to another frame?

but then again, how do i make it so that my DVD wont go back to the main menu after each episode?

i know disabling "enable menu" on WinAVI works, but the menu disappears...how do i make it so that the menu and chapters stay, and the movie continues throughout from eps to eps
