Hi guys, I got 1 monitor and 1 LCD TV. i connected both up to my PC and have dual display going.

i want to play games and watch videos off my PC at the same time. eg. playing wc3 on monitor and displaying TVB drama on LCD TV for gf.(so she gets off my back.)

when i run video and then open a game the video goes black. But i can play games in window mode and watch video at the same time but its really hard to play game in window mode because the mouse keeps on going out of the screen which makes it hard to play.

how can i allow myself to play games and watch video at the same time?

    thanks.

  2. when you run a full screen apps, your display settings change according to the resolution set by your game.

playing games and watching movies at the same time.. not to my knowledge..

with movies running, you must always play wc3 in lag.

you would need a really quick computer for one thing.

as far as i know there is no way to keep your cursor locked onto one screen. your just going to have to live with your cursor zooming off the one screen and onto the other

why would u do both at the same time, u can't just concentrate on a game and watch a movie at the same time.

how do you guys split the audio then???

well anyways it shouldnt happen... what kind of video card are you using?

  7. anonymous it not lagging either because it's just a black screen........ lol

but if you have dual video cards or dual SLI with either a core 2 duo or a quad core processor then the video and game play should be fine, the audio will not split so you would be stuck playing with no sound or the noise mixing with the video..... as stated above the resolution changes your dual display to the resolution of the game and it can mess up the video and its odd that the video only plays on one side of the dual display.... i must be doing it wrong.... >__< lol but then again i was using my crt tv as the second display through an s-video card port hahah

  8. anon... whered you get your name from? lol

Dont remember have been using this nick for ages.

    ....

I got a core 2 duo CPU, so no lag just black videos, i guess i need to upgrade to SLI. only got 1 single VGA right now. with the sound i normally put the gaming sound soft and have the video louder. coz i seat at the desk to play the game and i can hear pretty well.

I can do gaming and watch the video at the same time. i normally have TVB drama on when i gaming so i only really need to listen to 80% of it and i get the story line and know whats going on.-lol

i think u might need to have two seperate vid cards for that, but i dont know if SLI will do it. I'm thinkin something like.... running the cards seperately so one is doing the CRT one is gaming.
