Not sure about ya'll but I personally hate shopping. So ... whenever I do, I load up a lot and with the baby, I get even more .. ex .. I got several stacks of toilet paper (64 rolls), 12 toothpastes, 6 detergents, 10 body washes, etc .. yup for only 3 ppl. Anyway, after my experience w/ the expired lotion .. I don't wanna waste anymore money. I bought them from Target so I went and return the things I don't really need now .. ex .. toothpaste and shower gel .. little did I know, the clerk just opened all of them and then threw them into the garbage .. I still got my money back but what a waste .. know what I mean?? I didn't even open or use them. I was told that they don't wanna take the chance reselling these item .. new or not because if someone get hurt or whatever due to it, Target is liable for it .. not worth thousands or millions over a few bucks. Damn .. I feel so ashamed .. I caused it .. I shouldn't have bought it in the first place. Anyway, I hope ya'll who are like me .. STOP and only get things you need ...
lol i dont feel bad at all cause that never happened to me as long as i didn't open them. At least i never saw that.
In europe they would just put it back on the store-shelves then again we don't have these insanely random lawsuits like the US.
I like to shop, but like you said, only for necessary things. For example, when I wear all my clothes and my mom doesn't do the laundry quick enough, I would feel like I don't have enough clothes to wear. However, my friend is a crazy shopper. She claims she's not rich but the way she buys things annoys the heck out of me. She'd buy a crapload of clothes and barely even wear them, and she'd donate bagfuls of them every year. I mean sure, donating is good, but you're wasting money.
As some of the posters here have said, buying in excess isn't good. Sometiems I get the urge to splurge but I try to hold back, because I feel guilty after I feel like I've spent too much on things I didn't really need, but merely wanted.
Theres an old saying that goes like "buy what you need, and not what you want". A small percentage will follow that rule, but when it comes to cloths and such, there are exceptions.
Personally I don't like shopping. I buy only things I need and nothing more. My mom and sister love to shop for shoes, me otherhand hate it.
