Buddy, a German shepherd in Scottsdale, Arizona, saved his owner life, Joe Stalnakerm by dialing 911 after his owner had a seizure. Buddy was trained to call 911 if his owner had a seizure. In the video below you can hear the 911 operator asking "Can you hear me?," and the dog whimpering with concern. Emergency services arrived shortly after the call and saved Joe, who says this is the third time the dog has had to call for him. Joe said: "He's my world. He's my best friend, no question. He's always there, and I just hope I can be as good to him as he's been to me." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HT6Geg9EGIQ Buddy came from the Michigan-based Paws with a Cause, an organization that trains assistance companions for people with disabilities. In 2006 a Beagle saved an owner's life as well. Belle the Beagle smelled the owner's low blood sugar (video below), and called 911. Belle was trained to smell high and low blood sugar levels, which cost $8,000. The Beagle save the owner's life too. Dogs really are man's best friend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBg4PGeR8gg
