Hi everyone! I just bought myself a set of Winsor Pilates dvd, and I was just wondering if it really works? I think it's really fun, but I don't know whether it's really going to work as it claims. has anyone tried it before?

I've been doing pilates since October and it's great. I feel much more stronger and more flexible. I would recommend you doing pilates atleast twice a week if possible. I've kinda stopped due to work and I don't have enough time but It's great workout. Try looking for a studio if you have one around you.

I am doing it twice a week for about a year now. You are more flexible and more strengthful in your muscles. And it helps with your posture, which is UBER important for girls since good posture can make you look 5 pounds lighter without ANY workout.
Unless, of course, you are a ballerina, then I guess Pilates won't do much to "help" your already perfect posture.

I have tried pilates but unfortunately I didn't get any results... Probably because I wasn't doing it properly. Soon after I gave up pilates.

I bought a pilates exercise machine about a year ago. I stretch and workout on it 5 days a week for 20 minutes. I find a big improvement in myself not only physically, but mentally as well.

Been wondering the same too. They make it look so easy. I know I can't twist my body every which way.

  9. I did Winsor pilates religious for 6 months 2 years ago.. If you ask whether Pilates work or not, it depends on the results you want. For toning and flexibility, I must say its excellent. After doing it for that time, I am actually very flexible, can esp tell if you do the sit down test where your legs are extended out and it tests how long your fingers can reach.

However, pilates need to work in conjunction with cardio exercises to burn fat. I think Winsor pilates can help accelerate your fat loss, but it won't work much wonders if done alone. Hope my experiences helps you!

good for flexibility and muscles everywhere. if you are just starting out, get ready for some real soreness! (the good kind of soreness :D )

  16. yes pilates really works. after doing pilates you can go out and dance all night and you wont feel tired. i guess it's all the streaching you do in pilates

^ In general you just need a Yoga/Pilate mat. Comfortable clothing and some floor space.
