For me, I had to lose excess weight around my stomach area in order to see abs.. Maybe you actually have a six pack, but its just not visible ....

Also include running - running is good for your abs

running and crunches are good, but don't forget about the food part. cut back on calories, sugar, red meat, and slowely increase protein intack (small amount, otherwise you will gain weight!)

From what I've read, doing crunches and exercising alone may not be good enough. A good diet is also necessary to remove the fat around your waist. You can do a lot of crunches and eat high carb foods everyday, but you may not be able to see your abs because you are gaining fat at the same time u exercise.

Its hard dude. Like a lot of members mentioned, its a combination of things, the proper diet, cardio and ab exercises. I think the diet part is the hardest thing. I hate counting calories and it sucks big time when my roommate who does the cooking neglects cooking healthy. Im a college student who is always busy, so i cant complain when i have someone else cooking for me. Its all possible but if you have some extra fat u must start changing your diet and increase your cardio workouts. working on your abs twice a week is enough. Im sure you also want to develop your other muscle groups

If you want to get abs in a healthy way, then there is no shortcut. You have to be dedicated to your cause. You should exercise at least 5 times a week (cardio) for at least 30 minutes. Running miles everyday helps too. If you don't like running, you should at least power-walk. In addition to that, cut back on junk food and other foods that are high in carbs. The increase in exercise will lead to a higher rate of metabolism, leaving less unused calories in your day, and less fat to be stored away, thus nicer results.

With the exercising, increase the time and distance each week little by little. In time, you will see that you will have burned some fat and have more muscle tone. And make sure you stretch so that you don't hurt yourself or bulk up in muscles...

stay active, stay active, stay active or they will eventually fade away, even if you have them
