whats a g1 and g2?? i got my driving license at the age of 17 and i love driving it gives you soo much freedom it feels great but the big down side to it is the cost of running the car as its making me sooo skint espeically with petrol prices increasing :) but i love my car to bits :)

I had my driving license at 18 and man does running a car drain your money especially if you live in UK so much to pay for oil, insurance, road tax ,overall maintenance and petrol. Seems like the price of petrol goes up a couple of times a year

Oh Yeah another thing to pay for if you live in London congestion charge all thanks to our two faced asshole of a mayor

Over here in the UK the test comprises of two tests. The 1st is basically written, hazard perception etc which is all computerised now and after you've passed that you have a certain amount of time within which you have to take your driving test.
We have a mix of different cars driven over here german, english and japanese.

well canada..you get your learners at around 15..that's just after the written test..so there are restrictions to driving..like curfew and you need someone with at least 3 years experience. after that you can get your real license which after you get that you're on a one year probation

Here in UK I think you can get a provisional licence at 16 so you can be taught by someone whos owned their car for at least 3 years and had at least 3 years driving experience as well. Then at 17 you can take proper lessons and after taking the test you are on probation for 2 years and have an allowance of 6 points on your licence (Full has 12)
They've changed the laws abit since I've passed but it's still more or less the same
