can ya elaborate a little more on what you are refering to?

i mean each country has their own little laws that are annoying and some that are placed to protect us...it just depends on which aspect you are looking at it from

^ Yeah, there are too many laws out there, but generally the laws to protect society in NSW/Australia are pretty good

Alot of the laws in the UK are just not useful at all and not consistant enough, for example, a pregnant women was run over in a hit and run, the baby (think she was 8 mths along) died, she had severe injuries and he got 3 yrs?!

Well laws are mainly in place to protect us, the citizens of a country. Generally, the laws here are quite good, there are some stupid laws but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

Taxes.. well I guess they are necessary.. They go back into the economy.. Most of it that is, Some are wasted on extraditing prisoners back, Giving MP's holidays, but most fo it go into the bad public hospital system, slightly better/worse transport system, education and other public services.

I couldn't imagine myself living in a country like America, where it is a "right" to carry a weapon. Maybe the US guys are used to it, but I would find it to be absolute terror not knowing if the people walking down the street were carrying a gun and might use it for the wrong reason.

  8. some of them make no sense at all and others do so im just indifferent about it

You won't get an answer/explanation. This guy (OP) either makes one thread and never returns or makes one post in somebody else's thread and never replies. Nawain.. if you're reading this, what the heck is your point in going around making one post and then never going back to it? Are you just making heaps of idiotic threads for the fun of it?

The sad part about it is that people actually reply to each and every one of his shallow-topic threads. Mindlessness at it's best.

these topis aren't too bad if it was focued to a select type of law or certain things...but i guess your right if its such a blanket statement like so its a complete and utter waste of time.

Very creative comeback. You deserve an award.

Don't be a hero and try to save spammers, you're just going to make yourself look more of a tool than you already are.

@bear: it's not the fact that the topics are "so open." It's the fact that this guy is going around randomly making threads for the heck of it that people shouldn't be responding. I can understand if it's a normal member who really had the positive intent on making a thread, but this guys just fucking around.

This can be argued both ways.
As is, we are keeping an eye on this user.

what's w/ all these questions o_O and shouldn't it be in the rant forum??

but oih wel, this thread caught me eye. the law is coo, to some extent, it creates boundary, but only when you want to sometimes break the rule and get introuble then will the law seems like crap.

I guess not. You decide for yourself. Here's a few that i know:

    1. Florida - sex can only be done missionary style
    2. Tampa Bay area - no cottage cheese on Sundays or Sunday nights (can't remember which)
    3. Anal sex is illegal
    4. where I live - illegal to spit on the sidewalk

Yeah the laws here in the U.S. are alright, some I don't like some I do, without laws here the country would be in total chaos...so yeah...
