If so..is it strong? Are you embarrassed by it? I don't have an accent, but I have a friend who has a really strong one. It's hilarious because she's convinced that she doesnt have one hahaha... She was born in Vietnam..so I guess that's why.
no accent here. but if i go out of america im pretty sure people will think i do then. i live in texas so lots of people have a texas accent.
Yeah, I have a New Yawk accent combined with a Lawn Guyland accent, since I grew up in Long Island (strong island, lawn guyland) & New Yawk City for the first 16 years of my life. Even though I’ve been living in CA for almost 8 years, the accent has stayed with me… but that’s slowly changing. I also have a Cantonese accent when I speak Mandarin, and I have a Vietnamese accent when I speak Cantonese. And I have a horrible Americanized accent when I speak Vietnamese. I’m a mess. >.<
I'm from the Midwest, so no accent in my english. My mandarin on the otherhand sometimes has an unfortunate cantonese accent though.
i'm CBC no accent for me well no big accent. but it kinda sucks kuz when you try to speak mandarin you have a white sounding word =-P

Even though cantonese was officially my first language, I moved to UK when I was about 3 and learnt English. I have no Chinese accent, but then when I speak canto I dont have that terrible english accent ^^
I'm similar to dim8sum I don't have any kind of accent even when speaking cantonese or vietnamese. But then my family has never had an accent unless you're 100% pure viet then you'll probably think that we do because my friend says that he finds it hard to understand my mother when she speaks to him in vietnamese.
if u're not born in an asian country then u got an accent..thast wat i think...its hard to speak perfect chinese

My friend's children all have accents as they have been born and go to school in England. Their parents from Singapore still speak with the 'lah's-that punctuate Singlish!' Accents somehow gets attached to you if you have lived in a culture for a long time. Your basic accent from your original country will not go away as it's part of your growing up. I know of friends who try to put on an accent but get it all wrong!
