Do U Know... Vidal’s on to her third album KUALA LUMPUR: Janice Vidal has certainly come a long way in her singing career. Once acclaimed for singing cover versions of Leon Lai’s songs, she is now signed to his label AMusic, and with her latest album Do U Know... she has proven herself as a singer in her own right. “The title for the album is actually something that I’ve always asked myself, about whether I know what it is that I’m doing and where is it that I’m heading,” explained Vidal, who is also known as Wei Lan, during a recent press conference to promote her third album. One of the new singers emerging from Hong Kong, Vidal’s style is a mix of Cantopop, Jazz and R&B. The 24-year-old of Korean-Filipino-Chinese parentage, who has just staged her first series of concerts at Hong Kong Coliseum, revealed that she would be returning to the country next month for a promo tour. Label mate Charles Ying will join Vidal on her tour as her guest. Hotlink, with Galaxy Group as the organiser, will present Vidal’s Promo Tour Live.
