So ProActiv is just another monumental waste of money... All going into the founder's pockets and marketing.

My sister and a few people I know used it for a while and it doesn't really work. Most of the stars who advertise for this product probably already have nice skin or do some facial treatment without using the brand. Whatever, probably work for some people -unsure

just a bunch of lies. and yes, prescription is much more cheaper.. free! (well, for me.) and works! without having to use almost $50 for the entire set of ProActiv that only works for certain people. i don't get how people can be so gullible seeing as the infomercial says it's the best out there and tons of people have tried it while (personally) i don't know of anyone who has it.

    well.....

im not trying to say proactiv dosent work, and work... (for everyone)

it would say it only works for ppl with very oily skin, since BenP. dries out your skin. if your skin is prone to dryness, dont use the whole set of three package with the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer.

i think that the toner is the only good thing, and the cleaner is somewhat... decent. the moisturizer is garbage..
for cleanser u should get Acnexus. or if your really cheap go for.... PhsoHex (prescriber by doctor).
right now i have no idea what i should use for a moisturizer though.....

    from someone who tried it

i can say from personal experience that proactiv does and doesnt work.

while you're using it, proactiv really does a good job of stopping a large amount of the acne from coming out.. but that's just it, the only thing proactiv really does is hold the acne back.. in a sense, it kind of creates a wall on your skin and doesnt allow the oil surface in the form of an acne

but the moment you stop using proactiv, its all over. The oil that was compressed will spout out and you won't be able to control it whatsoever. Think of it as a garden hose, you hold your hand on the end and try to hold back the water from coming out, but the moment you let go of your hand, the water comes at ever more of a rapid speed than before.

It's like a drug, its the way they designed it, the moment you stop using proactiv you're acne gets worst and you have no choice but to go back to it. That is proactiv.

I really cant tell if it was an error in their calculations which made their formula that way, or if corporations really lose their souls in pursue of money, but i was naive enough to believe that they really wouldn't screw over people who already had low enough self-esteem.

(EXTRA) i know a few of you are saying its the consumer's own fault for being so stupid and believing the commercials, but just to let you know, i myself am someone who has horrible acne.. to sum it up, i'd have to say that last year in my highschool i could easily have been identified as the girl with the worst case of acne in the whole school.. i'm actually an acceptable looking person if not for the acne.. so when thoughts like that consume your head from the moment you wake up to the instant you fall asleep... you get desperate, and with everyone looking down on you, you'd really want to do anything to become acceptable.
