Yesterday, when I clicked on PA's link (in my bookmarks at the top of my brower, natch) I got this: ...there was no other option but to click on that link, which immediately aroused my suspicion. I just closed the browser and reloaded. Then I rebooted and tried to go to PA again, and the same thing showed up. Was this genuinely a PA thing or do I need to look into this further? When I tried it again today, the message somehow didn't appear again. ADDENDUM: I have since discovered that this was a Trojan on MY machine and had nothing to do with PA. Somehow or another, the malware infected my browser links, and when I clicked on my PA bookmark, it triggered. Malwarebytes got rid of it without a problem. I should have immediately suspected malware as there was no way to opt out. ADDENDUM 2: Though I did find Trojans on my on PC, apparently the original question of the Flash Message appearing had nothing to do with my PC's infection; that is, it really is a trigger somewhere on this site (ie. the home page link). I, and others here, were able to reproduce the event by clicking on the home page link. You can get out of the message by clicking the ESC key.
I tried logging out, and re-logging back in. Didn't happen to me soo yah... weird. Are you using Google Chrome? I know that Google Chrome auto-update flash player and never ask for permission. Did you try using any other internet browsers?
Did you by chance install dreamweaver? There were no modifications - that I know of - done to PA as of late.
No, not to my knowledge, I think maybe it was some link I clicked on. Checking my system didn't show anything, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the response. ADDENDUM: Ran an in depth scan with Malwarebytes and Kaspersky 2013; found seven (gasp!) Trojans and or related parts therefrom. Interesting that they chose to use Adobe Flash because Adobe is always constantly asking me update stuff anyways. The big tip off should have been the fact that there was no way to opt out. I must be getting old, LOL... Anyways, wiped them clean. If I alarmed anyone about the safety of PA my humblest apologies; it was all due to simple incompetence on my part. Actually.. it only appears if you go on the "Home Page". This is a solution. I have my PA bookmarked on the forum.. so it never appears for me. But once i clicked on the Home button, it appeared. Pressing ESC did the job though.
Hmmm... Then it seems that my Trojans was actually a Red Herring that had nothing to do with this. I'm nonetheless thankful that it compelled me to take a closer look under the hood and allowed me to clean house. But that doesn't solve the question as to why it should even appear on PA's home page in the first place; anyone with a better answer?

This is odd, I'm beginning to get that pop up as well - will try to look into this further when I have more time.
