i would so sue this place if they gave me all this hassle and shit, health inspector call and then i would throw in the medical attention needed for food poisoning, and the such take this all the way to court... with that kinda of attitude that would be the route i would take. If they handled it better and were sincere about it i'm sure it wouldn't have been blown out to this proportion.

Not allowing someone to leave an establishment is kidnapping or false imprisonment, regardless if they took a picture or video of anyone there. Even if the holder of the image states intent to publish the picture and or put their video on the internet, a stated intent does not give them the right to physically hold anyone for anything (unless they're the victim of a crime, say robbery or assault). The most that they could do is pursue a civil action against a person once (uploaded images of them) violation of privacy has taken place. So before that becomes fact, it's all speculation and supposition; that is, the person didn't need to delete shit, and could have told them and the cops so. The phone is private property, and everything on it is private property, even if you one didn't have consent for taking a picture. As far as holding someone against their will, they've already committed a felony.
I really don't go there often, even though it's like 3 minute drive from my house. But then again, I don't think I want to go there anymore. Time to spread the news to everyone I know.
