While waiting for a friend at their auditions, he was huddled in a corner near one of the Meteor Garden staff's office, the staff member promptly asked him to audition. Landing the role, his fame quickly spread thanks to the incredible success of the drama. Cutting a CD with the other members in F4, they eventually all decided to go solo.
