Spirited Away (千と千尋の神隠し, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi?, lit. Sen and Chihiro's spiriting away) is an Academy Award winning 2001 film by the Japanese anime studio Studio Ghibli, written and directed by famed animator Hayao Miyazaki.

The film received many awards, including the second Oscar ever awarded for Best Animated Feature, the first anime film to win an Academy Award, and the only winner of that award to win among five nominees (in every other year there were three nominees).

I have the Cantonese version, very good movie though.

 

it would be hard for ppl who dont know jap, although its a great movie. If the canto version is up, that would be great

 

If I remember correctly there was an English dub. It was a pretty good dubbing job to.

BTW I recommend this movie to anyone who has not yet seen it.

 

yeah it is a good movie, I prefer watching it with the original language cuz it just sounds better. Besides, everyone can read english on PA.

 

Does anyone know why when ive joined the files using HJSplit, the joined file can't be opened or played by MP PLayer/Media Player Classic? Windows Media Player can open it for a few secs in the beginning, then skip to 1:59:06?? What else can i use to play the whole movie smoothly? Thanks in advance!

 

VLC player? I use that for most of my animes.

 

missing codec? google and download the combined community codec pack install it see if u still having problems.

 

ive DLed the community codec pack, installed it and it still freezes on the first frame and immediately skips to 00:38:26 or 1:26:06 counted down from total length. and after skipping thru the whole movie, ive found it doesnt finish in the end either, it has the shot of them at the diining table and the video stops. Dunno what to do next, please help. Much appreaciated.

 

try rejoining the file, maybe u joined them in the wrong order?

 

after DLing part 1 again, and rejoining all of them again it is much better. however the last 15mins or so is still a bit of a problem. it plays upto around 1:50:58 and freezes but the player time counter still counts till the end. ive checked the 4th split file, and it is the one on the link. so i dunno whats happening there. thanks for ur help. -^_^

 

works fine for me.. i unno try using vlc player?
