Expected to turn the music world upside down, Seo Tai Ji's latest single Moai finally unveils its mystery. Moai is the first release of Seo's ambitious 3-part "mystery project", which will soon be followed by another single and a full-length album. In Moai, Seo takes his listeners on a fascinating trip to Easter Island. Nicknamed "the navel of the world," the Polynesia-located island is famous for its stone-carved human figure statues called Moai that sit across the island overlooking the ocean. Seo wrote the titular song Moai (Track 1), drawing inspiration from the mystery behind the statues which had long fascinated him since childhood. Staying in tune with the album's mythical element, the album cover resembles ancient art, and features a fetus with the umbilical cord attached to an eerie looking circle. Proudly made in Korea throughout its entire production, Moai is the result of Seo's sixteen-year musical journey and the collective knowledge that he acquired from studying abroad and working with some of the world's best industry experts.
