Inspired by his idol, guitarist Tak Matsumoto of B'z, Mayday's Monster picked up a guitar as a young man and never looked back. He's now the leader of one of the biggest bands in Asia, and in 2013, he made the big leap to star as a movie lead for the first time in Second Chance. Not only did Monster star in the film as a washed-up billiards champion who comes out of retirement to coach his prodigy of a niece, he also acted as music director, inviting seasoned musicians, such as his own idol Tak Matsumoto, to help him set the musical tone of the film. Now, Monster's musical contributions to the film have been compiled in Second Chance Soundtrack & Autobiography of Mayday Monster! The release consists of two discs, the first being the soundtrack to Second Chance, and the second being Monster's favorite self-penned songs performed by artists such as Ann Bai, Ashin, Richie Jen, Stephanie Sun, Fish Leong, Della Ding, Jam Hsiao and Alien Huang.
