[DDL] Rickman Chia 謝承偉 - I See You (Released 22 May 2009) WHEN Rickman Chia first appeared on Project Superstar Malaysia - a singing talent search competition held two years ago - he had not expected to take on any other career path other than singing. He emerged among the top four in the contest, and went on to establish himself as a zany host on various television programmes, including the popular Ho Chak, Go-Go-Go! and the current Double, Triple or Nothing Kids, which is aired on 8TV on Sundays at 9.30pm. His extended play (EP), comprising two songs, I See You and You're the Best, along with four remixes, marked a turning point in his career and Chia is a step closer to achieving his dream of making music. Known for his upbeat and bubbly style of hosting, his songs put him in a totally different light. Boyish and elegant, Chia has been rebranded as a Korean pop idol-styled singer with the help of famous local designer Beatrice Looi and a hairstylist specially flown in from Taiwan. Laughing at the suggestion that he might have had plastic surgery due to his different look on the EP cover, Chia said: "I am lucky to have an edge as audiences already know that I have been hosting and acting for the past two years. As to the change in personality, it is actually the concept of the songs. You will realise that a part of my cheeky self is still evident in the lyrics.I am confident my fans will accept my personality disorder."
