Lee Min Woo presents more of his musical innovations in the new mini-album Minnovation. This is M's second mini-album after last year's The Sentimental Reason, but the two releases are of very different musical styles. The Shinhwa heartthrob collaborated with well-known songwriters including frequent collaborator Lee Young Jun and US-based composer Outsidaz to create four new songs for this Vol. 4.5 album. Lee Min Woo also worked on the album's beats and arrangements, making this one of his strongest and most individualistic releases yet. Other than the title number Minnovation and other new songs, this mini-album also includes the Outsidaz Club remix of Gamyeon Mudohoe ("Masquerade") from M's fourth album M Rizing and the BK remix of The "M" Style from his third album Explore M.
