Taiwan's hit audition program One Million Star found a somewhat husky but thoroughly irresistible new voice last year in Anthony Neely. The Taiwanese-American contestant melted the audience with his heartfelt rendition of Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter, which scored 33 points, a new high in the show's five seasons. After a full year's preparation, the handsome, passionate, and down-to-earth Mando-pop freshman makes his highly anticipated debut with the album Lesson One. Backed by renowned producer Bing Wang and lyricist David Ke, the album comes with 10 new songs that are tailor-made to Anthony's characteristics, with styles ranging from heartbreaking ballads to folk songs and rock anthems.
