Although known to be close friends, it was rumored that Darren and Kai had a falling out when Darren asked for early contraction termination from their shared producer and manager, Angie Chai (柴智屏). To stop any further discord rumors from forming, Darren shared a picture of him hugging and kissing Kai on the lips, showing that his friendship with Kai has not changed. He also wrote, “Facts speak louder than words!” Netizens were quite shocked after seeing the “BL” photo, but many also expressed their excitement, some even happily suggesting that they should just be together. Darren’s picture received nearly 58,000 likes on Instagram. Angie Chai “Hurt” By Contract Termination At a public function a few days ago, Angie Chai admitted that she is feeling quite down from the news regarding Darren’s contract termination from her agency, and he is quite “hurt” by his decision. “If a male artist wants to terminate his contract, I am very willing to give him my blessings, but there are company rules in every agency. I've seen pictures of Darren being able to lock lips with anyone so I wouldn't be so shocked. It's just between best friends, man. Maybe some guys are just more comfortable with their masculinity to do such things!
If I, a heterosexual person, kiss my best friend who is also female, does that make me lesbian or bisexual? No. It makes me a straight girl who kissed my best friend. If you kissed your mother does that make it incest? No.
