While Ricky Wong’s (王維基) City Telecom (CTI) is still fighting an uphill battle for a broadcast license, his staff has been working tirelessly to produce and film various series with daring and extreme material which is sure to outdo TVB’s usual family-friendly themes. From homosexuality, plastic surgery to extreme blood and gore, CTI is risking it all by exploring controversial topics. In another attempt to rally the government in issuing their license, Ricky shared a glimpse of upcoming series to which audiences can expect to either love or hate, but will most definitely be surprised and shocked. Jeannie Cheng (鄭靜雯) from CTI’s Public Relations department explained that they have filmed two versions of certain dramas containing explicit subject material. She said, “We want to be sensitive of the fact that families watch these series so the version shown on TV will be different from the version available online.” She also added, “We’re very confident that we will be able to obtain the broadcasting license and continue to produce more series in the coming year.” The following is a list of some CTI dramas and a synopsis of their disturbing/controversial scenes: Fantasy Love Song 201314 <童話戀曲201314> Genre: Musical Cast: William So (蘇永康) and Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) Scene: Bernice plays a patient with a mental disorder and licks an unconscious William. These are some very daring series! I love it! TVB and ATV doesn't want this station to get the license because it's a free station! TVB and ATV will lose a lot of money if this station gets approved!
ii agree it's daring...i don't mind the same sex kissing but the head in washing machine................not my type of drama...i rather watch stuff like that in movies XD
After watching the previews of CTI series damn I like to watch most of them. It really got my attention. CTI have some very good scripts.
i would want to watch these CTI series too because the ideas and concepts to these series are fresh in hk and not just recycled ideas being used over and over again
Trailers are still trailers, they can be as good as hell but until I see one of those series, I'll hold off the praising but it's a good start. I do have to say, CTI's trailers have a movie like vision and feel to it, guess all that talk about new hi-tech cameras were real. On that aspect, they win over TVB. From the trailer, they have a lot more actors than I thought, and I do like some of them.
Ain't gonna lie, the promotional trailer look promising, seems like movie quality! Feels weird seeing these veteran actors/actresses from TVB.
they are all good I hope they get the license. I can't wait to watch them all apart from the ghost one that's too scary for me...
Most of them are great and can't wait to watch them. The only ones I hate are the Horror ones. Can't stand those ones. Didn't realize so many actors and actresses have left TVB.
