    Personally, I think that NF is just the tip of media corporate greed, and as such, they seriously overreached, thinking that their "customers" would pay anything to get their media. Remember, these NF moves were essentially driven by their rising cost of media, which they had to somehow pass onto the consumer in order to stay viable. Once NF finally goes under and is bankrupted by their operations costs; the media companies which demanded such higher fees would instead, be left with one less marketable venue.

    BTW, I've said this years ago; I'm waiting for the DPRK (North Korea) to start hosting pirate servers for a monthly flat fee. This is a country who doesn't give a rat's ass about being bombed, and is known for causing the US to replace its currency (so many realistic counterfeits streamed from the DPRK that it threatened to destabilize the US note, LOL...) So, hosting "off shore" servers would be a good way for to make the hard currency that it always needs.
