I'm really interested in how other peoples clean their ears. I always have a problem with earwax building up. I fail to clean my ears properly with an earpick, it hurts like hell when the earpick bumps onto the eardrums.
^ learn to clean them properly then..?...or drip that earwax stuff..and then cotton buds.?? ive always used one of these...and i <3 it...feels so nice....^^
I use q-tip to clean my ears. I don't know how to use those Asian stuffs .. lol Suggestions 1 - there are massage places that have full services where they have you clean your ears, foot and body massage, wrap treatments, etc .. 2 - hit the ENT office .. your otolaryngologist should be able to help you resolve the prob quickly.
push it in, turn it around, push it in deep, turn around, take out wipe off earwax and blood, repeat.
Hopefully you don't have so much build-up that a Q-Tip can push chunks of wax.. If you do have chunks, you'll need to get that cleaned out first (maybe with one of those sticks if you know how or go to someone who knows how to do it). Otherwise, QTip post shower is the best thing- dries ears and picks up any small particles if any. I dunno how those oils work.. I know some of my white friends use it. Dunno if it's useful..
^ ive seen the ear wax oil thingys...its sorta just putting a few drops of oil in your ear to help soften or loosen the wax so its easier for it to come out if ya know what i mean... i have heard from my friends that normal 'vegetable cooking oil' works too...just try not to get it everywhere coz it'll be quite messy... but yesh you drip a few drops into the ear wait a few minutes for the oil to work and then mebe use a stick, q-tip, cotton bud to pick it out..
Oh, so you still use a QTip. I thought they only use oil, caz they're afraid to use Qtips in the ear. Especially since the directions on the label say something to that effect.
^ooOOo... i dunno then...well...thas the way some of my friends have told me... but i dun use it anyways...use them sticks....wayyy better...=]
If you have very dry earwax, do not use Q-Tips because it'll only push the wax deeper inside. My brother went deaf in one ear for about a week because he pushed his earwax in and it completely plugged up his ear. Instead, use a mixture of peroxide and warm water and pour it into your ear and let it sit for a few minutes before draining. The ear pooper scooper thing bb posted also works well if you have dry ear wax. If you're like me and have watery ear wax, Q-Tip does the job well.
^ oh, lol. i completely missed the "i herd" part. I thought it was a you thing to say and didn't think twice about it. @Xib, don't invite N over afterall. Won't help your ears.
anyone.. used ear candle before? it is like something stick to the ear.. then burn one end.. until it burned finished..... love to try this out..
As a former Q-tip user, I've now been using peroxide in my ears. I've been told by my Dr told to STOP pushing the ear wax with a Q-tip. :0)... My Dr informed me that the tiny hairs in our ears is suppose to naturally "push" the water and wax out. So he used a spray bottle with a pointed tip to spray water into my ear and "flushed" the wax out. A friend suggested that I use peroxide and it helps me. Before I shower, I would tilt my head to one side and pour a 1/2 tsp or peroxide into my ear. Let it sit in my ear for a couple of minutes and then do the same for my other ear. Some of you will feel a "tingly" and "bubbly" sensation in your ear. Have some tissue to catch the liquid coming out of your ears. As I wash my ears I use a clean "baby booger sucker" (?) to spray warm water into my ear canal to flush the ear wax and peroxide out. I would use a Q-tip on the outside of the ear canal to dry my ears. The peroxide is supposed to soften the ear wax. I hope this helps. =)
