Christmas is the time to spend with family. You see your friends everyday; not your family .. at least for some of us who live abroad. Drinking and shopping is an affordability these days with such difficult economy and not everyone can afford that unless you got some rich friends. Most places are shut down during the holidays anyway. You might wanna try skiing or ice skating or ice hockey or hitting the karaoke bar or just travel and relax.
