Filming for Producer Andrew Lau’s (刘伟强) The Last Tycoon <大上海> was currently underway. Directed by Wong Jing (王晶), the movie stars Chow Yun Fat (周润发), Huang Xiao Ming (黄晓明), and Francis Ng (吳鎮宇). Recent tabloids accused Fat Gor of his despotic and uncooperative attitude on the filming set, in which Wong Jing rushed to clarify that Fat Gor only received the utmost respect from everyone. It was rumored that Fat Gor charged astronomical filming fees for The Last Tycoon. Wong Jing responded, “His fees are reasonable,” while indicating that Fat Gor did not make any unreasonable demands beyond a star of his status and caliber Wong Jing said, “Fat Gor’s work time is rather special, not the eight hours system in Hollywood, but a bit healthier than the filming hours in Hong Kong. Andy Lau (刘德华) and Jet Li (李连杰) want what they want. In short, they are the highest specifications.” The Last Tycoon is set in 1930s Shanghai, chronicling the power struggle between influential local figures. With the two handsome actors wearing similarly styled cheungsams on the filming set of The Last Tycoon, it was a sight to behold! Xiao Ming said, “After entering the entertainment industry, I prefer to wear windbreakers and comb back my hair since watching A Better Tomorrow <英雄本色>. My image of a hero started with Fat Gor.
