    hey!
im headed to beijing and other parts of mainland china for vacation with my family in about a week
i heard that china has rules about ipods/ipads/etc can someone clarify their customs on what i can bring into beijing
i read somewhere you'll be taxed if you bring those types of products into china

also is there any thing i should know about entering china?

Are you bringing one for personal use or are you bringing many to sell?

Ipod and shit have no prob getting through China customs but I suggest that you bring a laptop or netbook instead. Most hotels (depending on where you go) have ethernet; not wifi so ipod and ipad are useless unless you buy the sim cards for ipad.

Just one word of advisement; be absolutely sure that if you bring in a computing storage device, that there is no anti-PRC political information on it. That is, anything having to do with the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and Tibetan or Uighur independence.
