The filming for the new TVB drama, The Apostle <使徒行者>, is currently underway. Despite her old herniated disc, Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) was seen carrying 30 pounds worth of ice while running in a scene. Last year, Charmaine took several weeks off from work to see a chiropractor and treat her spinal injury. Although she is still going through rehabilitation, the actress is determined to continue filming for The Apostle, even if it meant straining her back in some filming requirements. Charmaine was very professional and did not ask for a stunt performer to film her scene. She also already practiced beforehand to see if she can handle three bags of ice. Although she was mindful of her back, she and co-stars, Raymond Lam (林峯) and Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) could not stop laughing during the actual filming, resulting in many retakes. When asked if she’s afraid that her wounds will act up again, Charmaine answered, “The crew tries to accommodate me, like using fake ice pellets. But even though the ice pellets aren’t real, they’re still quite heavy. And of course I’m afraid, but it can’t be helped! I have to get into character when filming. And besides, I’ve already accumulated many injuries in the last couple of years.” Creds: ihktv
with proper technique, anyone should be able to carry 30 pounds of ice... with improper technique, anyone can get injured by any amount of "heavy goods".
i know that those two are jackass causing the retake. Please try to be professional about this... you can laugh after the shot or something
