Charmaine Sheh Laughs Off 'Worst Film' Results

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) joined supermodels Lynn Xiong (熊黛林) and Eunis Chan (陳嘉容) as the guests of cosmetics chain Marionnaud Paris at a store opening today.

With the recent buzz around the Hong Kong International Film Festival, a magazine held a readers' poll for the year's biggest film flops and Charmaine's big screen collaboration with Hacken Lee (李克勤), Lady Iron Chef <美女廚神> emerged as the second worst film of the year.

Asked how she felt about this, Charmaine laughed that the film was just for a laugh and she had a great time filming it. Although the box office takings were not great, she was pleased that they were better than none.

With Hacken's films making it into the worst film lists for the second year running, Charmaine was asked if she was afraid of working with him again in future ventures. She smiled that she will leave this to the company to arrange for her, but suggested that maybe Hacken should put his efforts back into his strengths as a singer.

After fellow TVB colleague Kate Tsui (徐子珊) was named as the Best Newcomer at this year's Hong Kong Film Awards, Charmaine was asked if she was worried about being superseded by her junior. She smiled that she is no longer a newcomer herself, so she will congratulate Kate because this is a great encouragement for her.

Lynn was asked if she had comforted boyfriend Aaron Kwok (郭富城) after he came away from the film awards empty handed. She laughed that there was no need because it was already a great achievement to be nominated. As for whether she was at odds with Gaile Lok (樂基兒) because of the rumoured animosity between Aaron and Leon Lai (黎明), Lynn said that she was not aware of any hard feelings and she often chats with Gaile when they meet.
