Thursday May 29, 2008 Hong Kong Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) celebrated her birthday yesterday with colleagues from TVB series Forensic Heroes II <法證先鋒II> at a poolside party in a hotel. Other cast members present including Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧), Shirley Yeung (楊思琦), Vivien Yeo (楊秀惠) and Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) were also joined by the show's producer Mui Siu Ching (梅小青). Charmaine was presented with a birthday cake and when Stephen Wong (黃長興) arrived late, he was asked to give her a French kiss as a forfeit. However, he managed to get away with a peck on the forehead instead. Asked if she felt upstaged by Shirley's sexy outfit, Charmaine laughed that she is not a man, so she has no need to observe other women. When asked which of the men looked the most attractive in their swimwear, Charmaine laughed that she was looking forward to seeing Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) with his trunks and big belly, so she was disappointed when he could not make it. With previous rumours of animosity between her and Shirley, Charmaine showed her friendly side by commenting on a few scenes where they shared some great scenes and suggesting that these contributed to the 35 ratings points pulled in by the show in its first week. Asked how she felt about rumours that TVB may be bought out, Charmaine said that Sir Run Run Shaw (邵逸夫) is a good boss, so she would rather things did not change. Shirley won the attention of the press in her skimpy swimsuit and thanked the reporters for their compliments. In the show, she plays a devil disguised as an angel and she said that this was quite a challenging role for her. Asked if she has improved her relationship with Charmaine after the troubles in their earlier series Angels Of Mission <無名天使3D>, Shirley said that they have both improved their acting now and they are also quite friendly in real life. Some magazines have pulled out stories about Yoyo's past career making adult movies for a sensational headline recently and this has made her very angry. She said that she was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, so she had to do whatever work she could to live. She explained that as well as working as an extra, she also had a job in a bank and in sales because she had to earn enough money for her family. She added that to pull out stories from people's histories as a joke is a very hurtful thing to do. credits: batgwa.
